Hey friend, thanks for stopping by! I'm Aaron Rouse, an Inventor, Entrepreneur, and founder of the Solo Inventor System.
I'm thrilled you're interested in learning how to license your invention idea! You've come to the right place!
Have you ever asked the following questions?
- "Is it possible to actually make money from an invention idea?"
- "Is Passive Income even a real thing?"
- "I have this great invention idea, but I have no idea what to do?"
- "How can I create an income source that gives me freedom and flexibility?"
These are all questions I've asked myself and I'm thrilled to share I've found the answer. Which is, licensing!
What Is Licensing?
When you've come up with a brilliant invention idea, you basically have three options:
- Do nothing.
- Take your invention to market yourself.
- License your invention!
Now the first option is simply not an option, right? And unfortunately, for a majority of people this is often the route taken. But not YOU, because you're here learning how you can take action on your invention idea!
The second option is taking your invention to market yourself. While this option has the upside of being the most profitable of the three, it also incurs the most risk and consumes you and your most valuable asset, time. Stock up on Advil if this is the route you want to go.
Option three, license your invention! When you license your invention, you're essentially renting your invention to a manufacturer in exchange for royalties. And royalties are the name of the game! Imagine this, you license your invention and now you make passive income via royalties, you have the freedom and flexibility to do what you want, and you can go to bed comfortably knowing you're making money while you sleep!
You get to avoid all the headaches, expenses, and risks that come with bringing a product to market and still make a royalty on every unit sold! You sit back and let your licensee do the manufacturing, marketing, distribution, and sales, while you collect royalties. Even better, you're not locked down to this one invention! You can license an invention and move on to your next great invention and repeat the process! BUT you need to know what to do! And that's where the Solo Inventor System comes in!
But more importantly, you need to affordably learn how to take an invention idea to a presentable and licensable patent pending concept. You deserve to put your money towards your inventions and not spend thousands of dollars to learn the game. Which is exactly why I've made the Solo Inventor System so affordable! Even better, you'll learn how to conduct every step yourself and eliminate the need to pay for services which can save you hundreds to thousands of dollars in both the short term and long term!
Invent The Life Of Your Dreams!
Back in 2010, I came to the realization that there's actually something I can do with all these invention ideas. I don't have to follow the status-quo. I can take control of the reigns and design the life of my dreams, on my terms. The idea of living life in a ground-hog-like routine at a job I hate and trading my time for money was the furthest thing I wanted. What I wanted was to license my invention ideas, pursue things that actually interest me, and have the freedom and flexibility to truly enjoy the finite amount of time we have.
So here I am in 2010, a college kid having this epiphany that licensing my inventions is actually an option. I remember skipping countless classes to work on my inventions and make cold calls to potential licensees. Completely driven by the fantasy of making this happen and wanting to drop out of college, which I hated. Quickly I realized, I don't know what I'm doing and the countless "No's" I'm receiving is an indication of that. Now this might be where most people call it quits, but I was hooked. Licensing my inventions was my answer, my dreams, and what I knew I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
Fast forward to college graduation, one the most relieving days of my life (I still have nightmares of being in school). I'm finally done with school, I have a useless degree in Entrepreneurship, because last time I checked, you don't need a degree to start a business, and now I can go full speed with my inventing career. I immediately start my product development business, AlphaVations, LLC, and put the blinders on. Fast forward a year, and all my friends have started new jobs/careers and here I am, in my Mom's basement working on licensing my inventions. Let me tell you, I felt like the biggest loser. I wish I could say I had overnight success and was living like a Rockstar! But boy would that be far from the truth...
Now the years are flying by and almost feel like a blur. Maybe that's my subconscious blocking out all the rock-bottom moments. But here I am, still working relentlessly and maintaining faith that I can achieve my dreams and make this work. Over these years, I'm learning and compounding that knowledge to fine tune my work. There's no Plan B and no chance of entertaining a "real job". I'm determined to license my inventions and make this dream a reality. I sacrifice everything from a social life to selling anything I have of value to fund my career, all the way from my car to my bed. I'm no back specialist, but I don't recommend sleeping on an air mattress that has a lump and a hole. Finally, I start seeing hope. Companies are expressing interest in licensing my inventions! But of course, they all back out for various reasonings such as, wrong timing, lack of resources, change of direction, etc.. But it's evidence that I'm not crazy and I'm confident that I know what I'm doing.
After 11+ years, I finally licensed my first invention. After all the years of hard work, sacrifice, naysayers, doubt, and anxiety, I did it. I finally licensed an invention of mine. But the reason I share that all with you is to demonstrate that you truly can achieve your dreams, if you're committed. And that's why I created the Solo Inventor System! If you're dream or goal is to license your invention, let me teach you exactly how. Leverage my 12 years of lessons, mistakes, and fine tuning, to take effective action on your invention! And hopefully do it in a fraction of time that it took me!
